Soma is building an AI co-pilot for digital marketing teams. Our goal is to help automate / accelerate work that slows them down; so they can spend their energy on more meaningful work and not operational tasks.

We’re just 4 months in with a scrappy MVP already live. Despite the early stage, advertisers in India and the US use Soma to manage $10M+ in monthly ad spend — including 6 of the top 100 apps on India’s Play Store.

Now we’re moving from MVP → polished product, while doubling down on growth in India and international markets.

What do you do as a Growth Intern? 

At Soma, everyone is a problem solver. Your problem to solve: - how do we drive more signups and leads for the product? 

We want you to own experiments that move this metric. That means testing channels, running scrappy campaigns, measuring what works, and clearing roadblocks (or hacking your way around them). 

Here’s what to expect: 

  • First 2 Months → Outbound (cold email) already shows traction. Your first problem to solve would be to turn this into a growth engine. Run experiments to boost open rates and conversions, document what works, and build a repeatable playbook.
  • Post 2 Months → Explore new growth bets. Design 0→1 experiments to find our next acquisition channel, and double down on what sticks.

We are looking to work with young entrepreneurial folks; who don't want to follow the usual career track - you want to learn faster and grow faster. The bar for intellect and ownership is much higher than a typical internship. You’ll be treated like a builder with real responsibility, not just an extra pair of hands.

Who Will Thrive in This Role: 

We like working with people who have a chip on their shoulder & treat work as identity and expression. That mindset matters most. 

But to make this a successful collaboration, a few hard skills help:

  • First-principles thinking - you can take a vague, open-ended problem, break it into levers, and reason your way to a solution. 
  • Self-starter - you don’t wait for instructions. You spot problems, take ownership, and drive them to resolution. We’ll step in if you’re stuck, but there’s no hand-holding.
  • Technical mindset - we’re not looking for a stellar engineer, but you should be comfortable writing basic code or scripts to automate tasks and run experiments.

About the Founding Team

Both of us have spent a decade each in AI & Marketing. Meher, who leads engineering, spent 10 years building AI products @ DigitalOcean, InMobi, Observe.ai. Ankit, who leads business & product spent nearly a decade in growth teams @ unicorns like CRED, PocketFM & LeapFinance.

You will work closely with both of us. 

Other Details 

  • Commitment - Full-time | In-office - HSR (3 - 4 days / week)
  • Duration: 3 - 6 months ( option to convert full-time)
  • Stipend - Rs 15,000 - Rs 20,000
