Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the DBA team, providing technical direction, support, and mentorship.
  • Manage installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching of database systems.
  • Ensure database availability, security, scalability, and disaster recovery.
  • Perform performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization for mission-critical applications.
  • Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and high availability (HA/DR) solutions.
  • Monitor and analyze database performance to proactively resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams for seamless integration.
  • Establish and enforce standards, policies, and best practices for database administration.
  • Plan and execute capacity planning and database scaling strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with data security and governance Skills & Experience :
  • 10 to 12 years of experience in Database Administration (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or mixed environments).
  • Proven skills in performance tuning, clustering, replication, partitioning, and sharding.
  • Expertise in backup/recovery tools, HA/DR strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Strong knowledge of database security, auditing, and encryption.
  • Experience with monitoring, automation tools, and scripting (SQL, Shell, to Have :
  • Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL).
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
