The APAC region is the source of many of our ingredients, and we have deep relationships with farmers, supporting many in sustainability programs. At our processing facilities we are helping customers to respond to food and beverage trends across the region which are rapidly evolving. Our insights team tracks market trends to get the most relevant, targeted, and up-to-date consumer preferences. We are seeing unique flavour and color mashups including mocha cheesecake, and sweet and spicy stuffed snacks. With our ability to both source and innovate using our range of complementary ingredients, we can collaborate with our customers to create new, adventurous concepts that tap into these fast-moving trends. ofi in India aims to be the supplier of choice, from sourcing and processing to logistics and marketing.
About the Country
India:
ofi in India aims to be the supplier of choice, from sourcing and processing to logistics and marketing. Our business includes the processing of nuts (cashews & almonds), spices, Coffee, Dairy, Cocoa with leadership positions in all the products with 7 manufacturing sites & offices pan India with total employee strength of over 3000 employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare plant and line wise weekly, fortnightly and monthly production plans in liaison with PPIC and Quality Team.
- Supervise production officer and executive for the day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring seamless production processes.
- Set production and maintenance targets for the production teams and monitor productivity, down times, manpower availability.
- Continuously monitoring of Industrial and Food Safety across the Processing plants including Grinding, Sterilization and Blending Plants.
- Monitor new equipment performance and feedback the same to the Maintenance team.
- Set quality and improvement targets for the Processing plants and ensure HACCP and BRC systems are upgraded in line with emerging requirements.
- Implement and optimize manufacturing strategies to meet production targets, quality standards, and cost efficiency.
- Optimize production efficiency while minimizing downtime and waste.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure a steady and cost-effective supply chain for raw materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Ensure SOPs for the Processing function is prepared, reviewed, and regularly adhered to.
Experience, Qualification and Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, with course work in production management, operations management.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing industry preferred.
- Minimum 7 - 10 years of work experience in leadership capacity in FMCG, Manufacturing preferably in Spices / Masala category.
- Knowledge of procuring materials, equipment, and labour needed throughout the production process.
