Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for modular steel furniture projects, including raw materials, labour, overheads, and subcontracting.
  • Analyse technical drawings and specifications to determine accurate costings.
  • Develop and maintain cost databases for materials, labour rates, and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with design, production, purchase, and sales teams for accurate and competitive costing.
  • Evaluate cost-saving opportunities and support pricing strategies for tenders and client proposals.
  • Monitor actual production costs vs. estimated costs, analyse variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare costing reports and present insights to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with company costing policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production, or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in costing and estimation in furniture, metal fabrication, or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, material costing, and estimation techniques.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and costing software.
