Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Electrical Design Engineer located in Pune. Responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for industrial machinery, including component selection, schematic and panel layout creation using CAD/CAE tools, and preparing BOMs. Ensures compliance with international standards, collaborates with mechanical and automation teams for seamless integration, and provides technical support during assembly, testing, and commissioning. Also involved in troubleshooting, improving designs, and evaluating new technologies for enhanced performance and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Understand project/application requirements and select suitable electrical and automation components (motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, relays, contactors, HMIs, etc.).
  • Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD/CAE software (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent).
  • Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) for electrical components.
  • Coordinate with mechanical & automation teams to ensure smooth integration of electrical systems in machines.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (IEC, IS, CE, UL etc.) for safety and reliability.
  • Provide technical support during assembly, wiring, testing, and commissioning of machines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design-related issues during the project lifecycle.
  • Continuously evaluate new products and technologies for improving machine performance and cost-effectiveness.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
    • Ability to work on-site in Pune
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
    • Experience in the automation and precision manufacturing industry is a plus
