A Senior Quality Assurance (QA) professional plays a crucial role in ensuring that software or products meet the required standards before they are released to customers.

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for leading and executing quality assurance processes to ensure the highest quality of our software/products. This role involves designing test strategies, creating test plans and cases, automating tests, and leading a team of QA engineers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both manual and automated testing, a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Test Planning and Strategy :

- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications.

- Design and implement test strategies for various testing types, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing.

Execution and Automation :

- Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure product quality.

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using appropriate tools and technologies.

Leadership and Mentoring :

- Lead and mentor junior QA engineers, providing guidance on best practices and technical skills.

- Oversee and coordinate QA activities across different teams and projects.

- Conduct regular reviews of testing processes and implement improvements.

Defect Management :

- Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.

- Analyze defect trends and root causes to improve the overall quality of the product.

Documentation and Reporting :

- Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.

- Prepare and present regular reports on testing progress, defect metrics, and quality status to stakeholders.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on product quality.

- Participate in design and requirement review meetings to provide input on testability and quality aspects.

Continuous Improvement :

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in quality assurance.

Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA function.

Qualifications :

- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance, with a strong background in both manual and automated testing.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).

- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

Soft Skills :


- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
