About the RoleThis position is responsible for all Costing & inventory accounting functions and support financial planning, analysis & reporting related activities in the APAC region. This position reports to the FP&A Manager - APAC based in India and will support and drive any initiatives or projects assigned.
ResponsibilitiesPerform inventory & costing accounting activities for the APAC region, support monthly book close & reporting, and ensure accuracy and reasonableness of the financial data in compliance with accounting standards and policiesPerform regular standard cost updates including labor and overhead rates as per Buckman’s policy/accounting standards.Analyze monthly inventory & cost variance movements and provide insightful commentary on any major activities or variationsMonitor inventory transactions, analyze inventory evaluation, and inventory roll forward. Developing inventory analysis reports and analyzing variancesAssist in the improvement in internal controls related to inventorySupport the reconciliation of the inventory accounts to the general ledger and analysis of cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventoriesReview and analyze inventory and margin reports and conduct research and analytical studies regarding cost variance/movements and profitability.Perform variance analysis of the price, cost, efficiency, and volume drivers related.Actively support the forecasting and annual budgeting process in APACManage sales Incentive computation & accruals together and regular review with HRD and FDProvide support to the FP&A Manager and Finance Director -APAC for any initiatives/projects assigned such as new reporting application implementation or training.
Required SkillsFamiliar with ERP system and must have SAP FICO system.Relevant costing experience in the manufacturing environment and SAP ERP is a mustStrong financial planning, analysis and reporting skillsKnowledge of statutory requirement / regulations / acts / various taxes (GST / VAT / Excise) in countries like India, Indonesia and Pakistan is an advantageComputer proficiency in QlikView/Qlik Sense, SAP, RPA, and Microsoft Office applications (particularly MS Excel)
Mandate Experience:
Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in Costing and FP&A.Relevant working experience in a manufacturing / MNC environmentProficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office products (including Excel).
