We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE III) to join our Android development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building high-quality Android applications and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Android apps. You will lead the Android development team, ensure best practices, and drive innovative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead Android Development: Oversee the entire Android development lifecycle, ensuring high performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.- Architect and Develop: Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and efficient Android application architectures.- Collaborate: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create seamless and user-friendly mobile experiences.- Code Reviews: Conduct comprehensive code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce coding standards and best practices.- Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in Android development and incorporate them into projects.- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of the applications.- Testing: Implement and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure the robustness of the codebase.- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for Android solutions and processes.
Required Qualifications:- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Android development.- Technical Skills:- Advanced proficiency in Kotlin and Java.- Strong understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related tools.- Experience with Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, etc.).- Experience with Jetpack Compose- Proficiency with RESTful APIs and web services integration.- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.- Performance: Demonstrated experience in optimizing Android applications for performance and responsiveness.- Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented mindset.- Agility: Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
Preferred Qualifications:- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Additional Skills:, dependency injection frameworks (e.g., Dagger/Hilt), and Android Jetpack libraries.- Performance Monitoring: Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and techniques (e.g., Firebase, New Relic).
