The Chief Business Officer (CBO) is a key member of the executive team, responsible for driving growth in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar energy. Reporting to the CEO, the CBO will lead efforts to achieve revenue targets of ₹15,000 Cr by and increase export revenue from 20% to 40%. The role demands a leader with a proven history of scaling businesses, in national and international markets. The CBO will spearhead strategic initiatives in market expansion, operational efficiency, and innovation, working closely with senior leadership to align growth strategies with the company's vision.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Develop and Implement Strategy : Formulate and execute short-term and long-term strategies to achieve revenue goals of ₹3,000 Cr by , ₹9,000 Cr by , and ₹15,000 Cr by .

Market Expansion : Drive the expansion of export revenues from 20% to 40%, ensuring the company's global footprint grows in line with business objectives.

Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize business impact, maintaining a risk level at a minimum.

Revenue Leadership

Revenue Scaling : Leverage a successful track record of scaling revenues into the thousands of crores, driving substantial growth in both domestic and international markets.

Revenue Forecasting : Establish accurate revenue forecasting models, ensuring alignment with the company's financial goals and market opportunities.

Profitability Optimization : Focus on achieving and surpassing a 15% margin, ensuring the company's financial health and sustainability.

Operational Excellence

Lean Startup Methodology : Implement a "lean startup" approach across the organization, fostering a culture of constant experimentation and learning.

Process Optimization : Streamline operations to enhance efficiency and productivity, driving significant improvements in the company's operational performance.

Execution and Implementation : Lead the execution of key initiatives, ensuring timely and successful implementation of strategic projects.

Innovation

Product and Market Innovation : Drive innovation in product offerings and market approaches, ensuring the company stays ahead of industry trends and competitors.

Qualifications

Education : Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Experience : Minimum of 18 years of experience in senior leadership roles, with a proven track record of scaling revenues in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar energy. Demonstrated experience in international market expansion and export revenue growth. Strong background in strategic planning, revenue forecasting, and risk management.
