Job brief

The DevOps and Cloud Operations Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, focusing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Compute, Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage. The role also requires a strong understanding of generic cloud resources in AWS and Azure. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our NodeJS and Angular applications.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proven experience with GCP services, particularly Compute Engine, Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage
  • Hands-on experience with GCP and Azure cloud resources
  • Proficiency in managing CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
  • Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver)
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similarExperience with NodeJS and Angular application deployment and management

Preferred tech stack expertise 


  • GCP, AWS, or Azure certifications
  • Experience with serverless architectures and microservices
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities: 


Cloud Infrastructure Management:  

1.Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on GCP, AWS, and Azure 

2.Configure and maintain Google Compute Engine instances, Kubernetes clusters, Cloud Run services, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Storage 


DevOps Implementation:  

1.Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for NodeJS and Angular applications 

2.Automate deployment processes and infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent 

 

Monitoring and Optimization:  

1.Monitor system performance, reliability, and security 

2.Optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and performance 

3.Implement logging and monitoring solutions using tools such as Cloud Logger, Cloud Monitoring 

 

Security and Compliance:  

1.Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cloud security 

2.Implement security measures, including firewalls, IAM policies, and network segmentation 

 

Collaboration and Support:  

1.Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps best practices 

2.Provide operational support and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure issues 

3.Work with cross-functional teams to plan and execute cloud migrations and upgrades
