Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Account Executive at THE FORMIST GROUP in Bengaluru. The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for managing key accounts, building client relationships, and overseeing project timelines and budgets.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Executive/ Team Lead  to manage financial transactions, ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards, taxation laws, and perform account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles, taxation regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax), and financial reporting, along with hands-on experience in managing financial records, closing accounts, and conducting audits.

  • Accounting & Bookkeeping:

-Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledgers, and financial reporting.

-Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with Indian accounting standards.

-Oversee payroll processing, including tax withholdings and statutory compliances.

  • Taxation:

-Handle GST (Goods and Services Tax) filings, including preparation and submission of monthly/quarterly returns.

-Ensure timely TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) compliance and filings.

-Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and resolve any tax-related issues or queries.

  • Reconciliation:
  • Conduct monthly/quarterly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of bank balances and transactions.
  • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts to ensure accurate tracking of accounts payable/receivable.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory audits and internal audits by providing necessary reports and documentation.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities for the finance department.
  • Team Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants or support staff within the finance department.
  • Work closely with internal teams, external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.

Qualification/Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or professional certifications like CA Inter /ICWA Inter is a plus).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with strong exposure to Indian taxation laws (GST, TDS, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (such as Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Other accounting ERP) and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working in CA Firm would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and digital invoicing platforms.
  • Experience in financial audits and statutory reporting.
