Oracle investment in data management platform business is growing substantially and we are currently looking for outstanding candidates to join the JAPAC Data Platform OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) Specialists team.As a member of OCI Solutions team, successful candidate will cover APAC territory as a subject matter expert for Data Lakehouse services - supporting sales, cloud engineering and partner teams in their cloud pursuits with an objective of exponentially growing cloud consumption. Ideal candidate must have a can-do attitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to manage-by-influence and think strategically about business outcomes driven by addressing given technical challenges and expectations.

The successful candidate will:Define APAC go-to-market strategy for Oracle Data Lakehouse aligned to global guidanceInitiate, run and follow up on business development activities and generate demand for Data Lakehouse solutions within the market.Deliver sales enablement sessions to help internal sales teams to successfully position Oracle’s value propositionUnderstand customer requirements and convert them into the most appropriate Oracle solutionCoordinate and contribute hands-on to proof of value/concepts and pilot projectsDevelop and deliver high quality, customized Oracle presentations and live demonstrations to meet customer and partner data lakehouse related requirementsHandle technical objection leveraging deep technical hands-on experienceEvangelize data lakehouse value proposition at internal and external eventsExperienced in working with global teams/customers located in multiple geographica locationsCollaborate with Oracle internal teams and partners – such as Cloud Sales, Cloud Engineering, Cloud Lift Services, Marketing, Product Management, Oracle Consulting and Oracle Partner delivery organisationsGather and share real customer use cases to inform product development, marketing, and sales efforts. Create compelling customer success stories.Measure and track the outcomes of initiatives to assess impact and inform future strategies.

Experience, Skills and Qualification:8+ years of relevant customer engagements experienceExcellent understanding of and hands on experience in open source / big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop stack, Kafka, etc.Experience with common data science toolkits, such as Python, R, NumPy, MatLab, etcExperience working with and creating data architectures and data pipelineGood understanding of Cloud Data Lakehouse technologies like Databricks, Azure Data Factory is a plusExperience in working with a relational database system in an advantageStrong technical objection handling skills and experience in interacting with data engineer, data analyst and data scientist personasStrong presentation skills and experience interacting with business leadersStrong problem solving, organizational, decision-making skillsAbility to work independently and as part of dynamic and multinational teamsAn eagerness to work in a high-pressured, fast moving and challenging environmentFluent in English, additional languages are a plus
