Roles and Responsibilities Position Description:
 The position available is a Senior Manager position within IDG. Part of the team is responsible for building out the data governance platform across ISG, which includes data governance and strategy, client data protections, data quality controls for desks and data platforms to foster internal and external growth. The individual will be required to work with senior members across ISG businesses and associated Firm functions, such as Technology Operational Risk, Data Center of Excellence, Technology, etc. The individual will be responsible for oversight, management, and implementation of data, metrics, and controls across various strategic pillars. Additionally, the individual will support the implementation of ISG’s data strategy, while ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations governing the Firm.
Responsibilities Include:
 • Reviewing, monitoring, and improving data related control reports, highlighting exceptions, and ensuring accurate alerts
• Managing and providing oversight to KPI/KRI reporting
• Managing escalations, resolving issues, and implementing necessary control checks to
improve processes
• Documenting and tracking takeaways from various data governance meetings to ensure
execution on relevant action items
• Supporting and implementing strategic data governance related projects
• Developing business requirements and procedures for strategic initiatives
• Support the creation of management level presentations for strategic and tactical data
initiatives
• Creating internal efficiencies for how data is used within ISG, including building new
processes, functionality, and systems
• Engaging global ISG Business Unit Risk Management (BURM) to focus on and deliver
increased automation and standardization across applicable processes
• Improving and monitoring existing data related control frameworks and creating new
control frameworks where necessary
• Identifying opportunities for process efficiencies and implementing corresponding solutions internally and externally
• Performing quality assurance on internal team contributions, highlighting issues, and
working on remediation
• Establishing relationships and working closely with IDG supervisors, ISG BURM, Technology, Operations, Finance, and Compliance.
Qualifications - External
Experience / Skills Required: • Chartered Accountant or MBA
• + years of experience in the financial services industry
• Ability to identify and escalate issues effectively and appropriately
• Strong project management skills and proven ability to move projects through to
completion, ideally within capital markets
• Strong motivation and a self-starter with a positive outlook and desire to solve problems
with an ability to work independently with minimal guidance
• Strong analytical skills with an ability to understand complex workflows and leverage Excel, PPT, Project, Visio, etc.
• Solid understanding of applicable regulatory rules and regulations
• Ability to identify and escalate issues effectively and appropriately
• Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication
• An ability to clearly articulate objectives, requirements, risks, and issues
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely and effective manner and thrive in a fast-paced
environment
• Understanding of various market products Equities, FID, derivatives
• An ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
