Procurement Head - MEP for OSAT / FAB Facility Construction
Overview:
The Procurement Head – MEP is responsible for all MEP systems procurement including specialized equipment needed for Clean Room operations and other ancillary facilities which are part of OSAT / FAB factory.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely and cost-effective completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate shall have 15-20 years of experience leading the Procurements of all MEP Systems needed to operationalize an OSAT / FAB facility.
The Candidate Familiar with cleanroom specifications, protocols, design principles, standards and systems required for maintenance is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the construction timeline.
Identify and qualify suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers capable of meeting construction specifications and timelines.
Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
Have clear understanding of lead time for all MEP elements.
Evaluate supplier and contractor performance.
Develop and manage procurement budgets in collaboration with project stakeholders.
Prepare regular reports on procurement activities including cost projections.
Administer contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring regulatory requirements.
Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions in construction.
Forecast levels of demand for services and products in the semiconductor industry, and project price trends and their impact on project procurement activities
Implement contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to address unforeseen issues.
keep up to date with trends and innovations, regulation and new technology that can impact on the business
Lead audits and inspections to verify compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Manage and motivate team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and MS Office Suite.
