Responsibilities

Join MaxLinear and you will work closely with a world-class team of IC designers to design high-performance ICs with RF, analog, mixed-signal and digital systems integrated on a single chip.In the Senior Staff role, you will:Define architectures based on high-level specificationsLead design, implementation, and verification of RF and mixed-signal circuits on an SOCCollaborate with system and product design teams to optimize circuits and system specification trade-offsCharacterize and debug relevant blocks and systemsAnalyze the effects of non-idealities on circuit performanceReport the results of IC design, analysis and evaluation

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of RF/Mixed-signal circuits, with ability to drive architecture and topology choicesIn-depth understanding of Mixed-signal circuit blocks such as ADCs, DACs, PLLsStrong knowledge of circuit blocks such as RF blocks like LNAs, Mixers and VCOsAbility to drive chip level specifications for matching, signal path, spurious analysis, frequency planningYou must have familiarity with wireless or wireline communication specifications and derivation of block-level requirements from these high-level specificationsSolid understanding of CMOS process and device physicsWorking knowledge of RF/analog layout techniques. Familiarity to FINFET layout is a plusHands-on experience testing your own designs in the lab and define production test requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsBE/PhD/ME/MS in Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in RF/Analog/Mixed-signal design
