Role Description

Study Abroad Counselor


We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Student Counselors. This role involves guiding and supporting students throughout their study abroad journey, from selecting the right universities and courses to ensuring successful admission and enrolment.


Key Responsibilities:

Manage Student Accounts : Take full responsibility for a group of students, including onboarding, personalized counseling, regular follow-ups, and overall account management.

University Admissions Expertise: A comprehensive understanding of the university admissions process, application cycle, VISA requirements and paper work, and related requirements.

University Partnership Know-how: Develop relationship with good Universities across the USA, UK and other European countries to establish partnerships with Admyted.

Student Relationship Management:  Build and maintain a strong, trusted relationship with students, offering ongoing support and guidance throughout their application journey.

Application Monitoring : Continuously track the progress of student applications, addressing any issues and collaborating with teams to resolve challenges and keep the process on track.

Collaborative Teamwork : Work closely with various internal teams—such as the Growth team, Key Account Managers, and other support functions—to provide feedback, share insights, and ensure an excellent student experience.

Represent Student Needs:  Act as the primary point of contact for students, ensuring their needs, goals, and concerns are effectively communicated and addressed within the organization.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop trusted relationships with students and parents.

- Deep understanding of the study abroad process and university admissions.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

- A focus on student satisfaction and overall happiness.

Qualifications

Educational Background :

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Relevant Experience :

  • Proven experience in student counseling, higher education advising, or a related role (1-3 years preferred).
  • Familiarity with university admissions processes, application procedures, and visa requirements for study abroad programs.

Knowledge of Study Abroad Programs: 

  - In-depth knowledge of international education systems, universities, courses, scholarships, and application processes.

  - Familiarity with the latest trends and opportunities in global education.

Technical Proficiency: 

  - Comfortable using student management systems, databases, and office software (e.g., MS Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems).

  - Familiarity with online tools and platforms used in the application and admission process (e.g., UCAS, Common App, university portals).

These qualifications ensure that a student counselor can effectively guide students through the admissions process and provide exceptional support to help them achieve their academic and career aspirations
