Vice President Software Engineering and Architecture


In this role you will be responsible for leading the team of software R&D and DevOps engineers for our portfolio of products. You will have to bring a fresh opinion basis the hands-on experience and market trends on usage of latest cloud technologies, AI, Machine Learning, SDLC and best practices in the industry etc. which helps in enabling the next-gen technologies required to run the Primefocus and client's operations.


You should be have minimum 5-8 years of experience in managing product development team. Hands on experience in products developed on AWS and Azure.


The role encompasses strategic direction, planning, forecast, project management, P&L Management, resource allocation/ management, budget allocation/utilization and execution of software development and architecture with in the company..


Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop & implement product vision working & roadmap working with product line management, and meet companies goals.

Technical Oversight:

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of the Product from the understanding the business need, finding right solution, testing and implementing.
  • Experience in comprehensive development and launch of SaaS – based applications.
  • Expertise to led integration of key technologies such as micro services, horizontal scaling, and Docker/Kubernetes frameworks.
  • Advocate for technological innovation and adaptability, surpassing customer expectations, and reinforcing the firm's commitment to staying at the industry's forefront

Team Management

  • Direct a global tech team of 50+ software engineering and DevOps teams to ensure project delivery.
  • Establish and assess Key Results Areas (KRAs), fostering a high-performance environment that drives team productivity and growth

Budgeting, Process & SDLC

  • Follow Agile model, tools and frameworks, to deliver repeatable long-term solutions as per the need while managing a team of 50 members who are engaged in various stages of SDLC.
  • Run programs using the best Agile practices for initiating, planning, and executing intermediate-to-large scale cross - functional critical modules
  • Ensure projects are executed with in time and quality.

Collaboration

  • Communicate progress across organizational boundaries and levels from individual contributor to senior leadership across IT and business.
  • Interact with global operations partners to capture requirements, discuss solutions, taking care of project issue and the resolutions
  • Participation in Leadership reviews
  • Provide weekly/ daily/monthly reports as project demand

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications

BE/ BTech and MBA from a top business school with being ideal, but not a mandate. The candidate should have at least 15-18 years’ work experience with 8 years of experience in Software project/program management, operations, delivery in a Software product company

Key Skills

  • Software development, delivery, project management and Quality management
  • Technical Domain specialist for various technologies including AWS Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Devops, Java, SQL/NoSQL DBs.
  • Tracking and managing cost centre and/or profit centre operations
  • Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with impeccable attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, proactive and highly energized, and organized
  • Very well versed with xls, MPP, Jira, SAP and other tools for tracking and managing operations
  • Prior experience with Media operations and overall Media industry knowledge is a big plus.
  • Certifications on Program Manager is plus not mandatory.
