BUSINESS UNIT The HRS AIOps team serves as a pivotal force in transforming customer support by harnessing the power of advanced AI technologies. Our primary goal is to enhance customer satisfaction by providing swift, intelligent solutions to inquiries, ensuring a seamless experience across all channels. By focusing on proactive support and personalised interactions, we empower customers to resolve issues autonomously, significantly reducing response times and minimising frustration. Through continuous improvement and real-time insights, the AIOps team plays a crucial role in elevating service quality, allowing our support agents to concentrate on complex tasks that drive operational excellence and foster innovation. POSITION We are seeking a Lead AI Engineer to spearhead the development and implementation of our Agentic AI initiatives within our travel technology platform. This role combines deep technical expertise in AI agents with leadership responsibilities, overseeing the development of autonomous AI systems that can plan, reason, and execute complex travel-related tasks. The Lead AI Engineer will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable agentic solutions that transform our customer experience and operational efficiency.  CHALLENGE Strategic Leadership 1. Guide agentic AI architecture decisions and ensure alignment with travel platform strategy 2 .Lead the technical implementation of AI agent frameworks while maintaining cohesion with product vision 3. Drive innovation in agentic AI capabilities including multi-agent orchestration, tool integration, and autonomous decision-making 4. Establish observability and feedback loops for continuous agent improvement and learning  Technical Excellence - Agentic AI Focus 1. Design and implement scalable AI agent architectures with planning, reasoning, and execution capabilities 2. Develop multi-agent systems for complex travel workflows (booking, itinerary planning, customer support, operations) 3. Build robust agent orchestration platforms with tool integration and API management 4. Implement agent memory systems, context management, and learning mechanisms 5. Ensure agentic systems meet performance, reliability, safety, and controllability requirements 6 .Establish comprehensive monitoring, logging, and debugging capabilities for agent behaviors  AI Engineering & PSDLC Leadership 1. Drive rapid prototyping and iterative development cycles for agent capabilities 2. Implement strong feedback loops and A/B testing frameworks for agent performance optimization 3. Establish MLOps/AIOps pipelines specifically designed for agent deployment and monitoring 4. Lead prompt engineering, agent fine-tuning, and behavioral optimization initiatives 5. Ensure quality gates, safety measures, and guardrails are built into agent systems  Team Leadership 1. Manage and mentor Data Scientists and AI engineers specializing in agentic systems 2. Foster a culture of experimentation, rapid learning, and technical excellence 3. Drive adoption of agentic AI best practices, safety protocols, and development standards 4. Balance innovation velocity with system reliability and user trust  Cross-functional Collaboration 1. Partner with Product Managers to translate business requirements into agent capabilities 2. Work closely with Process and Product Designers to ensure agent interactions enhance user experience 3. Coordinate with platform teams for seamless integration of agent services 4. Facilitate communication about agent capabilities and limitations to stakeholders  FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH... Agentic AI Technical Expertise  1. Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field 2. 7+ years of experience in AI/ML development, with 2+ years specifically with autonomous systems, preferably in agentic AI 3. Deep expertise in agent frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar) 4. Strong experience with LLM integration, prompt engineering, and model orchestration.5. Proficiency in building tool-calling systems, API integration, and external service orchestration 6. Experience with agent planning algorithms, reasoning frameworks, and decision-making systems  AI Engineering & Platform Skills  1. Expert-level Python programming with AI/ML libraries (LangChain, Transformers, OpenAI APIs) 2. Strong experience with cloud-based AI services (AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, GCP Vertex AI) 3. Proficiency in building scalable AI pipelines, monitoring systems, and observability tools 4. Experience with containerization, microservices, and distributed systems for AI workloads 5. Knowledge of vector databases, embedding systems, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)  Travel Domain & System Integration   1. Experience integrating AI agents with existing enterprise systems and APIs Knowledge of real-time data processing and event-driven architectures 2. Familiarity with customer support automation and operational AI applicationsLeadership & Process Management 1. Proven track record of technical leadership of AI teams in fast-paced, iterative development environments 2. Experience implementing agile AI development practices and rapid experimentation cycles 3. Strong capability in establishing quality gates, testing frameworks, and safety measures for AI systems 4. Excellent stakeholder management and technical communication skills  Professional Skills  1.
