Are you passionate about the intersection of healthcare and cutting-edge AI technology? We're on the lookout for talented and motivated Research Engineers with expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to join our NLP research team. This position provides a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare and cutting-edge generative AI technology, contributing to the development of innovative solutions. As a Research Engineer, you will collaborate with experienced professionals, gain hands-on experience in NLP techniques, and contribute to advancing the state-of-the-art in clinical AI. Additionally, this opportunity presents the chance to have your work published in high-impact venues for NLP.
What We Expect You to Bring (These are essentials):
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.2. 2+ years of experience with software development in Python for Machine Learning development or one year of experience with an advanced degree.3. In-depth knowledge of NLP and LLM related concepts and techniques, with the ability to implement state-of-the-art research works in Clinical NLP.4. Must have strong proficiency in Python. Proficient in NLP and deep learning libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, PyTorch and HuggingFace.5. Strong experience working with raw datasets, including web-scraping, data-cleaning/preprocessing, exploratory analysis, data structuring, etc.6. Have worked on training deep learning models with vast amounts of training datasets.7. Self-motivation and dedication to making an impact through your work.8. Curiosity to work in a domain-specific Machine Learning environment.
We Definitely Want You If You Have:
1. Experience training in large language models like BERT, GPT, Llama, etc.2. Worked on prompt engineering, information retrieval, or retrieval-augmented generation.3. Contributed to open-source deep learning/machine learning-related projects.4. Have contributed to research communities by publishing work in high-impact venues for healthcare AI or NLP.5. Have worked on shipping ML models to production.6. Immediate joiners will be preferred.
What You Will Be Doing:
1. Develop rapid prototypes to assess the feasibility of Machine Learning solutions for Clinical NLP.2. Training and Evaluating Large Language Models that are tuned for specific use case and domain.3. Preparing datasets and running exploratory data analysis to use them for model development.4. Reading and understanding recent clinical NLP research papers, implementation and benchmarking those work on proprietary and public datasets.5. Documenting your work and writing research reports and publishing them in high-impact venues for healthcare AI and NLP.
