What will be the main responsibilities for the new hire?

What are the selling-points for this role?

- Strong exceptional skills building multiple RESTful APIs for B2B SaaS product and ecosystems

- Solid understanding of Authentication, Authorization, Access Control (RBAC, ABAC), API integration methodologies, Webhooks, and RESTful APIs.

- Experience working in the ecosystems, integrating systems,triaging issues / escalation processes.

- Experience using distributed computing principles.

- Familiarity with accounting principles is a big plus.

Main requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a (Senior) software developer, with a focus on Java (Must) - Kotlin (Ideal)

- Proficiency with cloud environments / distributed systems / microservices (AWS, Google Cloud, Kubernetes),

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and code collaboration tools.

- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)

- Testing frameworks and principles,

- Observability and monitoring (Datadog).

- Experience or willingness to work with frontend when needed (we mostly use Kotlin, with few services in Node/TypeScript fro BE, and Node.js and Reactfor FE)

- Developing new mission critical integrations towards external and internal systems,

- Maintaining, improving and migrating the existing integrations,

- Proactively guiding ourinternalteams as they design, build, and expose APIs,

- Supporting internal and external development ofthe platform self-service tools, enabling external engineers to build, maintain and publish integrations seamlessly.

- Revolutionize how the organization is expanding our customer ecosystem within the Fintech industry and dictating the rules of it

- Strong collaboration with cross-functional product-development, and commercial teams to identify opportunities forimprovements and increase connectivity in the Fintech ecosystem.

- Lots of dependency management.

- Utilizing first-principle thinking to challenge conventional approaches and drive innovation.

- Continuously learning about commercial and business knowledge and applying itto engineering work.

What are the biggest challenges/opportunities of the role?

- Contributing to the execution, delivery, and quality of projects within the team and mentoring fewer senior colleagues is a focus.

- Integrations teamwork involves ~50% of time spent on maintenance and upkeep of existing integrations.

- This is less of a reinventing the wheel type of work but can expand fast

- Jumping on a call with a client to debug issues is required at times. This requires a very much customer-centric approach and vision.

- Readiness to jump in deep and develop good understanding of not only internal systems but also of external systems we are integrating with is essential.
