We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Database Administrator to join our team and play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our critical database infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements :

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in SQL Server Database Administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, security, and disaster recovery.

- Proven experience in analyzing and designing business systems, understanding data flow and user needs.

- Experience working in a production environment, administering databases on live servers and ensuring high availability.

- Experience with data analytics concepts and tools for extracting insights from databases.

- Familiarity with Azure Database Administration for managing cloud-based SQL databases.

- Experience with data warehouse design, implementation, and management.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders.

- A commitment to providing high-quality and professional customer service, ensuring user satisfaction with database services.

Technical Skills :

- Microsoft SQL Server (all editions), with in-depth knowledge of High Availability (HA) and AlwaysOn Availability Groups.

- Proficiency in Transact-SQL (T-SQL) for querying, scripting, and database object manipulation.

- Experience with database performance monitoring and optimization techniques.

- Familiarity with database security best practices and user access control.

- Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and implementation for SQL Server databases.

- Experience with version control systems like Git for managing database code and scripts.

Desired Skills :

- Experience with Power BI administration and configuration for data visualization.

- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure for deploying and managing databases.

- Knowledge of database migration techniques (on-premises to cloud, etc.).

- Experience with database automation tools and scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell).

- Familiarity with data encryption and security standards (e.g. HIPAA, PCI DSS).

Responsibilities :

- Manage all aspects of the SQL Server environment, including installation, configuration, performance optimization, security, and backups.

- Analyze business requirements and design efficient database structures to support business needs.

- Work with developers and business analysts to understand data models and ensure data integrity.

- Implement and maintain high availability solutions for SQL Server databases.

- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans to ensure minimal downtime in case of emergencies.

- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.

- Secure databases by implementing user access controls, encryption, and other best practices.

- Automate database administration tasks using scripting languages and tools.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database systems.

- Provide technical support to users and resolve database-related issues.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in SQL Server technologies and best practices.
