Network Security Engineer

The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network security infrastructure to protect organizational assets from cyber threats.

This individual will play a critical role in safeguarding sensitive data, ensuring compliance with security regulations, and mitigating potential risks.

Key Responsibilities :

- Firewall Administration : Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls such as Cisco Firepower, Checkpoint, and Cisco ASA to control network access and protect against unauthorized intrusion.

- IPS/IDS Implementation : Deploy and manage Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to detect and prevent cyberattacks.

- Security Certifications : Maintain and update security certifications, such as CCNA and CCNP Security, to stay current with industry best practices and technologies.

- VPN Configuration : Configure and manage Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to enable secure remote access and interconnectivity between network sites.

- Load Balancing and WAF : Implement and manage F5 load balancers and Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to optimize network performance, distribute traffic, and protect web applications from attacks.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Network Security Expertise : Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and best practices.

- Firewall Knowledge : Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls, including Cisco Firepower, Checkpoint, and Cisco ASA.

- IPS/IDS Experience : Experience with deploying and managing IPS/IDS solutions.

- Security Certifications : CCNA and CCNP Security certifications preferred, or equivalent experience.

- VPN Understanding : Knowledge of VPN technologies and protocols.

- Load Balancing and WAF : Experience with F5 load balancers and WAFs.

Preferred Skills :

- Scripting : Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g, Python, Bash) for automation tasks.

- Cloud Security : Understanding of cloud security concepts and best practices.

- Incident Response : Experience in handling security incidents and conducting incident response investigations
