General Manager – Commercial Construction Execution

to oversee and ensure the efficient execution of site construction, meeting the highest quality standards and maintaining project timelines.Key Responsibilities:1.

Project Execution Leadership:Lead the entire

execution phase

of commercial construction projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and according to the specifications and quality standards set by the company.Act as the

primary point of contact

between on-site construction teams, contractors, and senior management.Oversee and manage multiple commercial construction sites across India, ensuring efficient coordination and resource utilization.2.

Construction Planning & Scheduling:Collaborate with the project planning team to develop detailed

execution schedules

and site-specific construction plans.Ensure that resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, are allocated effectively to avoid delays and bottlenecks.Continuously monitor progress, proactively identifying potential delays and taking corrective actions.3.

Site Management & Supervision:Oversee the day-to-day

site operations , ensuring that all construction activities adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.Regularly visit construction sites to

monitor progress , evaluate workmanship, and ensure that project milestones are being achieved.Implement robust systems for tracking daily construction activity and productivity, ensuring that any deviations from the plan are addressed immediately.4.

Contractor & Vendor Management:Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Ensure that all contractors and subcontractors meet the

company’s quality standards

and adhere to contractual obligations.Conduct regular performance reviews of contractors, resolving disputes and ensuring compliance with site safety regulations.5.

Budgeting & Cost Control:Work closely with the

finance and procurement

teams to ensure that construction costs are within budget.Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and efficiency.Regularly update senior management on project costs and projections, providing transparent reporting on financial status and potential risks.6.

Quality Assurance & Control:Implement and oversee

quality control procedures

across all phases of construction to ensure the highest standard of workmanship.Ensure compliance with

regulatory and industry standards , including local building codes, environmental regulations, and safety guidelines.Coordinate with the

Quality Assurance (QA)

teams for regular inspections and audits, resolving any issues swiftly and effectively.7.

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance:Lead the promotion of a

strong safety culture

on-site by ensuring that all construction activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.Collaborate with the

HSE teams

to implement safety training and awareness programs for site workers and management teams.Ensure that environmental policies are strictly adhered to, minimizing any negative impact on the surroundings.8.

Team Leadership & Development:Lead, mentor, and manage a large team of site managers, engineers, and supervisors, ensuring that each team member is performing effectively.Conduct regular performance reviews and offer

training opportunities

to ensure continuous development within the team.Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, promoting effective communication and teamwork across all levels of the construction site.9.

Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:Maintain regular and transparent communication with senior management, clients, and external stakeholders regarding project progress, challenges, and potential risks.Provide

weekly/monthly reports

on site execution, cost analysis, productivity, and any key decisions required from senior leadership.Coordinate with other departments, such as design and procurement, to ensure alignment in project execution.Key Qualifications & Requirements:Education:Bachelor's or Master's degree in

Civil Engineering ,

Construction Management , or a related field. A post-graduate qualification in management would be advantageous.Experience:Minimum 15+ years of experience in

commercial construction execution

with at least 5 years in a

General Manager or similar leadership role .Proven track record of successfully delivering

large-scale commercial construction projects

such as office complexes, shopping malls, or mixed-use commercial buildings.Technical Knowledge:Expertise in

construction methodologies , contract management, and

site execution

for commercial projects.Solid understanding of

regulatory requirements , including building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards in India.Proficiency in

construction management software

(such as Primavera, MS Project) and

ERP systems .Leadership & Communication Skills:Strong leadership abilities to manage large teams and coordinate between multiple stakeholders.Excellent

problem-solving

skills and the ability to make critical decisions in high-pressure environments.Effective communication and presentation skills for interaction with clients, contractors, and senior management.Travel:Willingness to travel frequently and manage construction projects across India.Key Competencies:Execution Excellence:
