Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Fund Accounting Specialist to join our team in Gurugram. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fund accounting, private equity, hedge funds, and related financial activities. This role involves handling complex financial calculations, reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Fund Accounting: Manage all aspects of fund accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Private Equity & Hedge Funds: Handle accounting and financial management for private equity and hedge fund investments.
- Hedge Accounting: Implement and manage hedge accounting practices in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Waterfall Calculation: Perform detailed waterfall calculations to determine the distribution of profits among investors.
- Management Fee Calculation: Calculate management fees accurately and in a timely manner.
- NAV Calculation: Perform Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for various funds, ensuring precision and compliance with guidelines.
- Investor Reporting: Prepare and distribute detailed reports for investors, providing insights into fund performance and financial status.
- Capital Market: Stay updated with capital market trends and ensure that fund accounting practices align with market conditions and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in fund accounting principles and practices, with hands-on experience in private equity and hedge funds.
- Financial Calculations: Expertise in waterfall calculations, management fee calculations, and NAV calculations.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of hedge accounting standards and capital market regulations.
- Reporting Skills: Excellent skills in preparing investor reports and financial statements.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial calculations and reporting.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with investors and internal stakeholders.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
