Costing EngineersWhat we offer:

Preparation of detailed calculations (pre- and post-calculation) including tool cost estimation fornew development, series, and projectsAnalyzing offers and cost break downs from suppliers and proposing optimization measuresProviding technical manufacturing advice to design engineers for in-house production andpurchased parts in all phases of the development processSupporting the purchasing department during awarding and price negotiationsTechnical discussions with potential suppliers for new projects and in case of supplier changesSupplier workshops with value stream analysis and detailed technological discussionCollaboration on cost reduction and value analysis projectsDevelopment of production concepts (calculation models) taking into account suitable machines ,devices and toolsNew and further development of cycle time calculators for various production technologiesFurther development of IT tools for calculation, analysis and tracking.

Tasks and Qualifications:

You have successfully completed an engineering degree specializing in foundry engineering andat least 3 years of experience in the foundry industry, focusing on sand casting. You have relevant professional experience in planning or engineering activities in vehicleconstruction, steel/mechanical engineering or their supplier industry. Ideally, you have also detailed manufacturing knowledge in welding technology as well as in sheetmetal and tube production Basic business management knowledge with experience in costing and profitability analysis are anadvantage Confident handling of Office applications Experience with professional calculation software, purchasing platforms and CAD is an advantage You see yourself as a team player, have organizational talent and negotiating skills Very good English language skills and a willingness to travel both nationally and internationallyround off your profile.
