Responsibilities
Assist in budget preparation, monthly remittances, and payroll
Provide backup to AR, AP, and payroll
Assist in month-end reconciliations
Assist in managing bank accounts
Assist in work-in-progress costing
Internal auditing
Maintain internal capital asset control sheet
Assisting with year-end preparation
Assist with capital purchases
Assist with all relevant compliance obligations
Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
Many other assignments as required
Qualifications
Should be a graduate in accountancy with minimum 8 years’ experience in accounting
Permanent full-time position, 8:00am to 6:00pm Mon-Fri, 8:00 am - 12:30 pm Saturday, location: Chennai
CPA designation preferred, not required
Knowledge of Canada Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred
Industry experience preferred, not required
ADP experience is an asset
Visual experience is an asset
ERP experience required
Microsoft Excel knowledge required
Ability to work well with both others and independently.
Time management and communication skills.
Strong numerical proficiency, organization, good problem-solving skills and excellent use of logic
Results oriented environment and ability to take ownership and responsibility for their work.
Reporting to CEO, Chennai, India and CFO in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
Strong use of English for verbal and written communication
