Job Title : Linux Team Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide advanced technical support for Linux products and technologies.

- Resolve issues via phone, email, or remote sessions.

- Reproduce and diagnose issues, and provide timely resolutions.

- Follow up with customers and provide recommendations.

- Escalate complex issues and collaborate with other teams.

- Maintain quality case documentation and adhere to SLAs.

- Manage and lead technical escalations and incidents.

- Conduct problem management and root cause analysis.

- Oversee change management, including patching and security updates.

- Ensure accurate configuration management.

- Design solutions for complex customer needs.

- Participate in project management and customer meetings.

- Deliver training and support to team members.

Eligibility & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.

- 10 years of experience in enterprise technical support.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, Oracle Enterprise Linux, ITIL) are advantageous.

- Flexibility to work in a 24x7 support environment.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in Linux installation, configuration, and administration.

- Experience with Linux vulnerability assessment and mitigation.

- Knowledge of patch deployment solutions (e.g., Redhat Satellite, Oracle Linux Ksplice).

- Familiarity with Redhat and Oracle Enterprise Linux.

- Ability to troubleshoot networking issues and manage clusters (e.g., Oracle RAC).

- Understanding of SAN technologies and HP server management.

- Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution.

Non-Technical Skills :

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- High commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

- Ability to take ownership and work efficiently.

- Supportive of team members and capable of delivering training.
