Job Overview
This is a unique opportunity for a high-energy professional to be part of Deloitte India practice and learn about and support global initiatives and work directly with global, regional, and member firm leaders. This position is for Team Lead – Record to Report and involves working with a team of accounting professionals for efficient and accurate handling of the end-to-end record to report process.
To achieve this, you will be expected to perform the following activities:
Financial Accounting and Reporting: Perform the end-to-end record to report process including period end accounting (fixed asset, debt/ borrowings, revenue recognition, intercompany, tax etc.) cost allocations, closing, reporting and consolidation Ensure timely and accurate closure of books globally and its reporting to Regions/ BU’s Prepare accruals, provisions calculation and its posting Prepare financial statements and report it timely, accurately to internal/ external stakeholders Maintain and reconcile the GL accounts, other reconciliations ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and documented Support adjustment entries posting basis Management/ Audit reviews Track budget variances, providing insights into the organization's financial performance Provide financial KPI and performance analysis to support strategic decision making Interact with other internal finance teams for period end closing Document SOP update for changes/ improvements in underlying processes and facilitate client reviews and alignments Compliance and Policies: Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant accounting standards Stay informed about changes in regulations, accounting standards affecting financial accounting and reporting Performance & Service Excellence: Ensure performance of applicable Service Level Agreement (SLAs)/ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) pertaining to efficiency, effectiveness and pro-actively drive and improve them Continuously evaluate and work on improving the efficiency of processes and procedures to enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity of the team Partner with Client & Transformation team in defining and driving transformation agenda bringing in latest best practices Collaborate with operations team in implementing process improvements Internal Controls & Audit Support: Co-ordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations Maintain robust internal controls within the record to report function Facilitate the transition of finance processes, encompassing knowledge transfer, reverse knowledge transfer, coordination with client stakeholders, and the documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Work location: Bengaluru

Skills Required
Qualifications: CA/ CPA/ MBA Finance/ Master of Finance & Accounting with experience specifically in leading Record to Report processes or similar Controllership roles Proficient in Oracle ERP (EBS, Fusion), Oracle Hyperion Financial Management, and ServiceNow. Knowledge of other Oracle E-Business Suite is preferable Experience: 5-6 years of experience in a finance & accounts, corporate finance, or consulting role, preferably in MNC, or global organizations Experience in managing and delivering large global transition projects, driving Client excellence, and dealing with key client leadership Skills and Competencies: of the financial accounting processes (income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows) Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to manage client discussions Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills Proficient in data analysis and financial reporting, PowerPoint for creation of executive-level presentations Proactive approach to process improvement and innovation in financial practices Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines Must possess a client-service mindset and a desire to take on tough and challenging projectsHow you’ll grow
