Inviting applications for the role of Manager-Data Privacy & Protection

Individuals passionate about Privacy are invited to apply for the role in Data Privacy & Protection team. This is a program governance team overseeing the implementation of privacy across the organization. This will require candidate to work closely with stakeholders in different teams such as legal, compliance, security, IT and with other functional owners responsible for data processing for effective implementation of privacy initiatives. Candidate will play a critical role in identifying privacy risks and working with stakeholders on mitigations strategies. Candidate will also be working closely with the larger team in implementation of India Digital Data Privacy bill for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of data privacy framework, through policies, processes, systems, controls, and training material to enhance data protection measures and ensure compliance.
• Developing and supporting a framework for monitoring and reporting ongoing compliance with regulation and standards
• Work closely with legal team to identify and interpret regulatory requirements across jurisdictions and translate those to implementation guidelines and controls.
• Assist in responses to data protection enquiries, internal and external privacy and compliance audits, data security incident responses, data protection agreement consultation, privacy complaints and resolution, subject access requests etc.

• Work with functional owners in completion and review of privacy impact assessments 
• Key stakeholder in the development and ongoing management of privacy program across geographies, including the Governance Framework, Policy set, compliance risks, compliance roadmap, training, retention, audit and reporting requirements.
• Remain up to date with the requirements of legislation and conduct necessary gap analysis processes to identify and help build remedial work programs and highlight ongoing program risks.
• Creation and implementation of data privacy framework for India on the basis of new Digital Data Privacy Bill, including data mapping and inventory, transparency measures, purpose limitation, individual rights and other data fiduciary obligations.
• Developing and conducting privacy awareness programs for employees, showcasing a genuine passion for instilling a strong understanding of data protection principles across the organization
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
• Relevant experience in Data Protection / Data Privacy / Risk roles
• Demonstrable Privacy and Data Protection experience, ideally gained in a services environment, or digital business
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Ability to demonstrate decisiveness and sound judgement on a consistent basis
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and apply pragmatic solutions to complex legal / regulatory matters
• Proven record of success in working collaboratively as part of a team
• Experience in working in multinational organizations
• Ability to work in a cross-functional, cross-cultural matrix environment.
• Passion and commitment to individual privacy as a theme and for fostering a culture of privacy within the organization


Preferred qualifications 
• Preferably have worked in an Organization’s Privacy office or with Data Privacy officer
• Professional certifications related to Privacy (e.g., CIPP) or others such as CISA / ISO27001 LA etc. are preferable (though not mandatory)
• Other Industry certifications preferred but not mandatory e.g., CISA, CSSIP, CISM etc.
• Hands on experience with Privacy workflow management tools
