Job Responsibilities*Develop and implement a strategic plan in close collaboration with the Head of Placements and PartnershipsDevelop professional relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni and industry professionalsProvide direction, programming, and goals that strategically integrate all aspects of career development, career exploration, internships, job placement and career planningWork in collaboration with Program Heads, faculty to ensure career activities are alignedConduct targeted employer outreach for the Law schoolDevelop and maintain employer relations and serve as a contact for industry partners and prospective employersMaintain employer database for internships and full- and part-time positionsPlan and implement events to facilitate student interactions with employers and industry professionalsSupport the Office to achieve the overall objective of the Career Development Office: placing all students in roles that match their abilitiesManage all aspects of the placements and internship recruitment on campus, handling grievances, managing relationships, and planning and implementing orientations and workshopsCounsel students (one-on-one and in groups) on variousplacement-related issues such as resume building, group discussions, etc.Updating various databases by liaising with other departmentsContribute towards relationship building with organizations from a variety of sectors and industries and on ground execution of placement processesLeverage existing networks of Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and Students

Preferred QualificationsPost graduate degree/diploma from a premium institutionProven work experience of at least 5 years or more in a similar capacity in providing career services/ career counseling support in a higher education set-upProficient in handling and managing communication effectively with different stakeholders in an international work environmentBackground or interest in law, legal practice, corporate law would be a plusExcellent interpersonal skills with good command in spoken and written English languagePossess a growth mindsetand has the ability to be adaptableand resilientResourceful and CollaborativeExcellent time-managementHighly entrepreneurial self-starterAbility to manage multiplepartner relationshipsExperience working with and mentoring young people, facilitating workshops and learning journeys would be preferredStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneouslySocial Media experience will be an added advantage
