Primary Purpose

The CloudOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on the AWS Cloud Platform, utilizing modern architecture and best practices for complex, business-critical applications. You will play an essential role in creative, motivated teams, ensuring high-quality benchmarks are met in delivering innovative cloud solutions for internal and external customers. This role calls for a forward-thinking individual with the capability to learn and adapt to emerging technologies in the integration space and contribute proactively to business-aligned digital initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a challenging environment that requires strong problem-solving skills, independent direction, team collaboration, and open communication.


Experience:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the AWS cloud ecosystem, including PAAS and IAAS services.
  • Hands-on experience managing infrastructure for complex web applications.
  • Solid experience in innovative R&D development environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, monitoring, VPC, security groups, and orchestration in public cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks like ReactJS, AngularJS, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and scripting languages (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Agile process experience with a result-oriented approach.
  • AWS Cloud Certification is preferred.


Key Responsibilities
  • Architecture and Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain AWS Cloud solutions with robust architecture, ensuring high standards in security, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Manage and monitor cloud resources, emphasizing cloud security, VPC configurations, and orchestration in public cloud settings.
  • Migrate and architect complex multi-tier applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Continuous Integration and Delivery
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, integrating Docker for application building, testing, and deployment.
  • Utilize best practices for Docker security, including image scanning, secret management, and container isolation.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud resources using IaC tools like Terraform to automate provisioning and management.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure rapid recovery and minimal impact during failures.
  • Container Orchestration and Management
  • Expertise in container orchestration using EKS or ECS for managing large-scale applications.
  • Implement and maintain containerization practices, focusing on security and operational efficiency.
  • System Administration and Scripting
  • Strong Linux administration skills, including experience with various distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Write shell scripts (Bash, Python, Perl) to automate tasks and optimize system performance.


Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Skills
  • Expertise in AWS PAAS and IAAS services: EC2, ELB, ECS, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, EKS, ECS, Route53, S3, VPC.
  • Knowledge of IP Networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS).
  • Proficiency in containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes/EKS, Helm).
  • Experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi) for cloud resource automation.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Scripting languages: YAML, Shell, Bash, PowerShell.

  • Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of message bus technology (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
