Purchasing Officer (Packaging) with 3 - 5 years exp in Pharma/FMCG/Food Manufacturing Industry Seeking Purchasing Officer (Packaging) South East Melbourne location Permanent Role ideally suited to an individual who is degree qualified in Supply Chain (or related field) with 3-5 years experience as a purchasing officer in a pharmaceutical, -FMCG or food manufacturing environment that has had a focus on procuring packaging for the business and manages this category Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 + Super + Bonus Key Responsibilities Procurement and sourcing of a dedicated buying portfolio in a cost effective, timely and professional manner Purchase materials from approved suppliers to support the production plan, agreed stock targets and according to exact specifications (considering price, quality, service and compliance) Plan and purchase using SAP Monitor and report on supplier performance Liaise with Quality Control department and suppliers to ensure quality, service, delivery and continuity of supply as well as participate in audits as required Purchase to support production as needed and maintain appropriate stock levels Work in compliance with a GMP environment Maintain Master Data, purchasing information records, source lists for raw materials, non-printed packaging and consumables Act as back-up for packaging specialist as necessary Ensure all relevant SOP’s, Policies and Procedures are always adhered to Communication in a cross functional working environment to achieve plans, goals and outcomes Key Requirements Ideally you will possess: Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain, Business or a Related Field Experience in sourcing & purchasing packaging for the pharmaceutical, skincare, personal care, food, FMCG or related industry (3-5+ years’ experience working with local and international suppliers is highly regarded) Knowledge of procurement principles SAP experience or knowledge of a similar ERP system (preferably) Strong administration and organisational ability Excellent negotiation, communication, problem-solving ability, sense of urgency and high attention to detail A natural relationship builder with a passion and competence for purchasing and achieving results for the company Must possess: Valid and unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence Full work rights in Australia (PR, NZ or AU Citizenship) Benefits: Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 + Super + bonus Great Management, Team & Culture Training development & career progression opportunities South Eastern Suburbs location Free onsite parking If this sounds like the next right move for your career, hit apply now and attach your resume and cover letter.
