As the Operational Risk Specialist in a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), your primary responsibility is to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks that could impact the company's operations and reputation. You will play a vital role in enhancing the operational risk management framework and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Principal Accountabilities 1. Operational Risk Assessment: Identify and assess operational risks associated with the NBFC's activities, including processes, systems, and human factors. 2. Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate operational risks, including the design and improvement of risk control measures and incident response plans. 3. Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with operational risk regulations and ensure that the NBFC's practices comply with local and national financial regulations. 4. Risk Incident Management: Oversee the investigation and resolution of operational risk incidents and develop processes to prevent their recurrence. 5. Policy Development: Contribute to the development and updates of operational risk management policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines. 6. Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly monitor operational risk indicators and trends, and prepare reports for senior management and regulatory authorities. 7. Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions to educate employees on operational risk awareness and best practices. 8. Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate operational risk-related information to relevant stakeholders and senior management. 9. Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance operational risk management practices to adapt to changing market conditions and business strategies. Desired Profile - Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, risk management, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CRO, ARM) is a plus. - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operational risk management, preferably within the Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) sector. - Strong knowledge of operational risk assessment methodologies, best practices, and regulatory requirements. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in risk management tools, data analysis, and reporting.
