And our teams are dedicated to helping our customers — developers, small and large businesses, educational institutions and government agencies — see the benefits of our technology come to life.Role Description (and additional job description)As an Application Modernisation Cloud Consultant, you will work directly with customers on critical application development and modernization projects to help them transformtheir businesses. You will provide consulting, program management and technical expertise tocustomers while working with client executives and key technical leaders to drive adoption of modernapplication patterns and paradigms via Google’s Cloud Platform.You will also work closely with key partners currently servicing top accounts to manageprograms, deliver consulting services, and provide technical guidance and best practice expertise.You possess a broad skill set including software engineering, architecture design, distributed systems,container technologies, and deployment strategies. To be successful, you know how to navigateambiguity, have extensive experience working with cloud technologies, have technical depth andenjoy working with client executives. You also possess excellent communication and projectmanagement skills. Travel approximately 30% of the time for client engagements.Responsibilities● Work with customer development leads, client executives, and partners to manage anddeliver successful, modern, cloud applications, becoming a trusted advisor to decisionmakers throughout the engagement. ● Work with internal specialists, product and engineering teams to package approaches, bestpractices and lessons learned into thought leadership, methodologies and published assets. ● Interact with sales, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope,priorities, deliverables, risks/issues, and timelines for successful client outcomes. ● Advocate for customers needs to overcome adoption blockers and drive new featuredevelopment based on your field experience. ● Propose solution architectures and manage the deployment of cloud native applicationdevelopment solutions according to complex customer requirements and implementationbest practices.Minimum Qualifications (MQs)● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field or equivalentpractical experience. ● 3 years of experience project managing and/or delivering technical solutions.● Advanced understanding of the software supply chain in an enterprise environment (softwareengineering, testing, CI/CD) and architecting, developing, or maintaining cloud solutions incontainerized environments. ● Ability to speak and write in English fluently.Preferred Qualifications (PQs)● Experience with highly available, scalable applications and distributed systems. ● 7 years of experience demonstrating technical client service. ● Experience with software languages (Java, Go, JavaScript, Python, etc.) and building /architecting DevOps pipelines and familiarity with associated tools. ● Experience with detailed network, security, and system design in the deployment of virtualmachines and containerized applications. ● Working knowledge of Kubernetes. ● Demonstrate excellent communication, written, presentation and problem solving skills. ● Hold a cloud certification.
