OVERVIEW:
Our client, a leading multinational apparel company, is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Head of Compliance to lead their compliance function in Bangladesh. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of experience in apparel industry compliance , a strong understanding of industry regulations, and the ability to develop and implement robust compliance frameworks. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the company's operations comply with all legal and regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of ethical business practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage the company's compliance function in Bangladesh.
Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies and procedures.
Monitor adherence to industry regulations, legal standards, and ethical practices.
Provide expert advice and guidance on compliance-related issues to senior leadership.
Conduct risk assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective measures.
Coordinate audits, inspections, and investigations related to compliance issues.
Ensure the company meets the legal and regulatory requirements of Bangladesh’s apparel industry.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance is integrated into business processes.
Oversee training programs to raise awareness of compliance standards across the organization.
Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting of compliance issues.
Stay up to date with changes in local and international laws and regulations affecting the apparel industry.
PRE-REQUISITES:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree from a recognized institution.
10-15 years of experience in compliance within the apparel industry.
Experience in compliance management within the denim manufacturing setups will be an advantage.
Strong understanding of local and international compliance regulations and standards for the apparel sector.
Proven track record of managing and leading compliance teams.
Excellent knowledge of risk management and compliance frameworks.
