About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to reimagine Xeno’s frontend, creating a robust and scalable codebase. This individual will be responsible for setting up scaffolding, best practices, and integrating modern UX/UI components with a performance-first mindset. Additionally, they will play a critical role in integrating product usage monitoring tools to drive data-informed UX improvements and have a strong understanding of backend systems to lead projects end-to-end. This role is ideal for a highly skilled individual contributor with the potential to evolve into an Architect/Principal Engineer or team lead as the organization scales.

What You’ll Do

- Rearchitect the frontend codebase with best practices to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.- Establish scaffolding and design patterns to create a foundation for all future frontend projects.- Collaborate with product designers to revamp UI/UX , leveraging modern, reusable design systems and components.- Integrate product usage tools (e.g., Amplitude, FullStory, Hotjar) to monitor and improve user experience based on data insights.- Optimize for frontend performance , ensuring applications are fast, responsive, and efficient.- Collaborate with backend engineers to lead end-to-end projects , understanding and influencing API and system design.- Mentor and guide junior developers or interns, setting high standards for frontend engineering excellence.

- Frontend Framework: React.js (mandatory)- State Management: Redux, Context API, Zustand- Styling: TailwindCSS, Emotion, Styled Components- Build Tools: Webpack, Vite, Babel- Testing: Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library- Performance Optimization: Code splitting, lazy loading, reducing bundle size, optimizing Web Vitals- Product Usage Tools: Amplitude, FullStory, Hotjar, Mixpanel, or similar- Backend Knowledge: Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, GraphQL- Version Control & CI/CD: Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins- Other Tools: Storybook, ESLint, Prettier

Technical Expertise

- Advanced proficiency with React.js and building scalable, high-performance applications.- Strong experience in building reusable UI components and design systems using React and modern CSS frameworks.- Expertise in integrating product usage monitoring tools like Amplitude, FullStory, or Hotjar to improve user experience.- Deep knowledge of frontend optimization techniques to ensure applications are fast and efficient.- Sufficient understanding of backend systems (Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs) to lead end-to-end projects and ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend.- Strong debugging and testing skills, ensuring robustness and reliability.
