Responsibilities & Skills

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and seasoned Security Operations Center (SOC) Senior Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The SOC Senior Engineer will be instrumental in enhancing our organization's security posture through advanced monitoring, incident response, and cybersecurity expertise. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background and a deep understanding of security operations, incident response, and threat hunting.

Responsibilities:

SOC Operations: Lead day-to-day operations within the Security Operations Center, ensuring effective monitoring and response to security incidents. Implement and manage security information and event management (SIEM) tools to detect and respond to threats. Incident Response: Respond promptly to security incidents, conduct thorough investigations, and provide detailed reports on findings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute incident response plans. Threat Detection and Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze security alerts, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities. Utilize advanced threat intelligence to proactively identify emerging risks. Technical Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions. Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies. Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with SOC leadership to develop and implement security policies and procedures. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior SOC engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Proven experience in a senior engineer role within a SOC environment, with a minimum of 4 years in cybersecurity. Extensive hands-on experience with SIEM solutions and incident response tools. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or CEH are highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
