Role: BFS- Risk Analytics


Location: Gurugram/Mumbai


Qualification:

Graduation or Post Graduation degree in Statistics with an outstanding academic record.


General Summary:


Candidate with 5-8 years of experience in financial credit risk management with experience mainly in model development, formulation, review, and validation preferably together with good experience in some of the other domain areas as follows:


  • Good understanding of Basel II & III Risk and capital metrics including salient aspects pertaining to PD, LGD, EAD modelling/ framework also employed for computation of expected credit losses.


  • Hands-on experience in IFRS 109, Ind AS 109, Basel II/ III, credit rating models


  • Data analytics orientation-Ability to cleanse, interpret, analyze data and crystallize findings.


  • Application of statistical techniques to risk and financial data


  • Ability to work with data sets in Excel and use Excel Statistical Add-ins


  • Carrying out gap analysis i.e. identify and highlight gaps of existing credit risk and market risk/operational risk models in terms of its current compliance with regulatory norms and suggest/recommend areas for suitable improvement.


  • Hands on experience in credit risk model development and implementation of risk management products.


  • Exposure to ICAAP framework/methodology covering both Pillar I and Pillar II risks and good practical/conceptual understanding of specific risks such as Interest Rate Risk, Liquidity Risk, Concentration risk as well as frameworks employed for Stress Testing and Scenario analysis.


  • Credit Risk Rating methodology/framework for rating facilities to Small and Medium Enterprises, mid corporates, large corporates and infrastructure projects, both greenfield and brownfield, involving road, power (both renewable and non-renewable) and other generic infrastructure


  • General understanding of banking sector products as well as good understanding of operations of banks, NBFCs, other financial institutions and financial markets


  • Hand-on experience in Python/R programming


  • Sound ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in report format, concepts and ideas through presentations/report writing. Good interpersonal skills, knowledge of MS-Office applications and skills in making/delivering effective presentations.


  • Ability to work as a team.


The Role / Responsibilities:


  • Execution – Data analysis, sector specific research study & assistance in preparation and delivery of presentations & reports


  • Product development support for credit risk and ECL models


Job Skills Required:


  • Experience developing and validating statistical models for credit risk assessment preferably including ECL models.


  • Solid understanding of credit risk concepts, including credit scoring, loan portfolio management, regulatory requirements such as IRFS 9 / Ind AS 109.


  • Proficiency in programming languages, database management and MS-Office such as Python, R programming, SQL, Excel etc. for data manipulation, analysis, and model implementation.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.


  • Ability to apply knowledge on Credit Risk, Risk policies, ERM, capital metrics such as Basel II/III and ICAAP to specific risk management assignments.

  • Sound knowledge of statistics/ risk management


  • 5-8 years’ experience in Banking, NBFCs, FIs in Risk Management dept or Risk Advisory in consulting


  • Strong ideation and analytical skills


  • Ability to communicate clearly and cogently (spoken and written)


  • Ability to work independently and in teams.


  • Ability to work under pressure on various tasks at a time i.e. multi-tasking.


  • Keen to learn, wanting to be proactive and inquisitive and take initiatives in executing/completing tasks within agreed upon deadlines.


  • Willingness to travel and engage with clients.
