Job Description: Salesforce Developer with Field Service Expertise (6+ Years)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer with over 6 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development and a strong focus on Salesforce Field Service (FSL) . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Salesforce solutions to enhance our field service operations. This role demands a deep understanding of Salesforce’s technical capabilities and the ability to deliver seamless integrations and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Salesforce Development : Develop robust and scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex , Visualforce , and Lightning Web Components (LWC) , ensuring best practices and high-quality code standards.
  • Field Service Implementation : Configure and customize Salesforce Field Service to manage work orders, service appointments, resource scheduling, and territory management effectively.
  • Customization and Automation : Design custom objects, flows, workflows, and triggers to automate business processes.
  • System Integration : Integrate Salesforce Field Service with other systems (e.g., ERP, IoT platforms) using REST/SOAP APIs , MuleSoft , or other middleware tools.
  • Optimization : Collaborate with field service teams to identify inefficiencies and optimize Field Service configurations, including dispatching, optimization rules, and work order templates .
  • Testing and Quality Assurance : Conduct unit and integration testing, resolve defects, and ensure the delivery of a high-quality solution.
  • Documentation and Training : Create technical documentation and provide training to administrators and end-users for effective usage of Salesforce Field Service tools.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Technical Leadership : Mentor junior developers and contribute to the technical roadmap for Salesforce implementations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience :
  • Minimum 6+ years of Salesforce development experience.
  • At least 4+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Field Service (FSL) .
  • Technical Proficiency :
  • Expertise in Apex , LWC , Visualforce , and Salesforce declarative tools (Flows, Process Builder, Validation Rules).
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Field Service features, including Service Territories , Work Orders , Scheduling Policies , and Optimization Rules .
  • Experience with integration tools (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft) and working knowledge of middleware platforms.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools, version control systems ( Git ), and Salesforce deployment tools (e.g., Ant Migration Tool , SFDX ).
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce security models (roles, profiles, sharing rules) and performance optimization techniques.
  • Soft Skills :
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and mentor team members.
  • Education :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , or related field.
  • Certifications (preferred):
  • Salesforce Certified Field Service Consultant
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (required), Developer II (preferred)
  • Salesforce Administrator

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with mobile development for Salesforce Field Service (e.g., Salesforce Mobile App, SDK).
  • Experience working in industries with high field service needs (e.g., utilities, healthcare, or manufacturing).
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Exposure to Salesforce Einstein Analytics or Tableau CRM.
