Key Responsibilities

  • Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation, filing, and payment of corporate taxes (direct and indirect) including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other applicable taxes.
  • Tax Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and identify potential tax savings.
  • Audit & Reconciliation: Coordinate and manage tax audits and assessments with internal and external auditors, as well as government authorities.
  • Advisory & Risk Mitigation: Provide guidance to management on the tax implications of business decisions, investments, and corporate structuring.
  • Tax Reporting: Prepare and present periodic tax reports for management review and financial reporting under applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Legislative Monitoring: Keep track of changes in tax regulations and laws and assess their potential impact on the company.
  • Process Improvement: Drive automation and efficiency in tax filing, compliance, and reconciliation processes.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring compliance with deadlines and regulatory requirements.


Key Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of domestic and international tax laws, including GST, TDS, and direct/indirect taxation.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial information and assess its impact on tax strategy.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in reviewing and preparing tax calculations and reports.
  • Leadership & Management: Ability to lead a tax team, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with tax software and ERP tools like SAP, Tally, Oracle, or similar platforms .
  • Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of reporting frameworks such as IFRS, GAAP, and IND-AS .
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve tax-related disputes and handle inquiries from tax authorities.
