Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop innovative engineering products and processes from concept through to final design. Ensure designs meet functional requirements and performance criteria. Craft detailed models and drawings of products using CAD software. Ensure that all CAD documentation accurately represents the design and can be used for manufacturing and testing. Analyze data from prototypes to assess design performance. Make necessary adjustments and refinements based on analysis to improve product functionality and reliability. Conduct research to identify new product ideas and methodologies. Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to inform product development and innovation. Review and enhance existing products and processes to increase efficiency, performance, and user satisfaction. Implement improvements based on feedback and performance data. Ensure that all designs and processes comply with relevant industry safety standards and regulations. Integrate best practices to maintain high safety and quality standards. Keep precise and up-to-date records of design processes, changes, and development stages. Ensure documentation is clear, comprehensive, and accessible for review and future reference. Ensure that products are designed to be user-friendly and environmentally responsible. Evaluate and integrate considerations for ease of use and sustainability into product designs. Prepare detailed reports on design processes, prototype testing, research findings, and project status. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to stakeholders. Find and implement creative solutions to complex design challenges. Use innovative approaches to solve problems and advance product development.

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in mechanical design engineering, with a strong background in product development and research.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer license) is preferred.

Skills:
Expertise in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for creating detailed models and drawings.
Strong analytical skills for evaluating prototype data and making design adjustments.
Experience in researching new product ideas and methodologies.
Proven ability to improve existing products and processes based on feedback and performance data.
Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Ability to maintain accurate and detailed design documentation.
Strong understanding of user and environmental considerations in product design.
Excellent report-writing skills and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.

Preference Criteria: 
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead design projects and mentor junior engineers.
Innovation: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative design solutions.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of design and documentation.
Design Standards & Best Practices: Develop and implement design standards and best practices to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across all projects.
Project Management: Oversee project timelines and resource allocation to ensure timely and successful completion of design solutions. Manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining high standards of quality.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical design. Apply this knowledge to improve design processes and product outcomes
