Job Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our Food & Beverage team at Chirp and Bloom. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, a strong background in restaurant management, and the ability to lead and support a team in delivering outstanding dining experiences. As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Management:• Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including service, kitchen coordination, and inventory management.• Ensure the restaurant is prepared for service, with all areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.• Monitor and manage guest flow to ensure timely and efficient service.• Address any operational issues that arise during service, ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests.• Guest Experience:• Engage with guests to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback, ensuring their dining experience exceeds expectations.• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and a focus on resolving issues to the guests’ satisfaction.• Implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty, contributing to repeat business and positive word-of-mouth.• Team Leadership & Development:• Support the Restaurant Manager in leading and managing the restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and kitchen team members.• Conduct training sessions to ensure all team members are knowledgeable about menu items, service standards, and operational procedures.• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging team members to perform at their best.• Assist in scheduling staff and managing labor costs while maintaining adequate coverage during peak times.• Financial & Administrative Duties:• Assist in managing the restaurant’s budget, controlling costs, and optimizing resource usage.• Monitor sales and revenue, preparing reports for the Restaurant Manager to track performance and identify areas for improvement.• Oversee inventory management, ensuring stock levels are maintained and wastage is minimized.• Assist with ordering supplies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of quality products.• Event Coordination:• Work with the events team to plan and execute functions at Bloom, ensuring all guest requirements are met.• Coordinate with the kitchen and service teams to deliver flawless event service, from setup to breakdown.• Ensure all events are conducted smoothly and professionally, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant.• Health & Safety Compliance:• Ensure all health, safety, and hygiene standards are strictly followed in all F&B operations.• Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain compliance with local regulations and company policies.• Implement corrective actions promptly in response to any identified safety or hygiene issues.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.• Proven experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Supervisor, or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high service standards.• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
