Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will be tasked with auditing loans underwritten by credit officers to ensure compliance with bank policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include meticulously reviewing loan applications, assessing documentation accuracy. Verifying adherence to established lending criteria and identifying any deviations or discrepancies.
Responsibilities:Reviewing and verifying loan applications and supporting documentation.Assess loan underwriting decisions against established lending criteria and guidelines.Identify any deviations from policies or procedures and investigate root causes.Provide comprehensive feedback to credit officers regarding audit findings and areas of improvement.Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with evolving standards.Contribute to the continuous improvement of loan underwriting processes and procedures.
Qualification & Experience:Bachelors or Master’s degree in any field.2+ years of experience in Pre-underwriting, Loan Processing, Mortgage Underwriting or Post Close Underwriting in Australian Mortgage, USA & UK mortgage domain.Proven experience in loan auditing, preferably in banking or financial services environment.Strong understanding of Australia, USA, or UK lending regulations is essential for this role.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Familiarity with loan origination systems and other relevant software applications.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
