Job Title: Mechanical Engineer II - P&ID

Location: Bangalore or Coimbatore

Responsibilities

- Design and develop P&ID for new and existing manufacturing systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement innovative solutions.- Conduct feasibility studies and analyze data to identify potential risks and recommend preventive measures.- Perform detailed engineering calculations and simulations to validate design concepts and optimize system performance.- Create technical documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports, to support project delivery and maintenance activities.- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to select appropriate materials and equipment for piping systems.- Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.- Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues related to piping systems, proposing and implementing corrective actions.- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in P&ID design and engineering practices.

Requirements & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field with relevant experience of 3-5 years required.- Proven experience working with mechanical systems, preferably in the semiconductor industry.- Proficient in CAD software for design and simulation purposes.- Strong knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in the semiconductor industry.- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical components.- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.- Ability to work well in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision.- Ability to think out-of-box.- Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and mentor others.- Regarded as a technical expert in their field.- Proficient in the use of SolidWorks PDM
