Delivering and improving engineering capabilities that enable Vestas to deliver high quality, safe and sustainable products and services to our customers.The standardization team is a global team primarily located in Denmark, India, and Portugal. Our department is responsible for implementing, defining and ensuring both short and long-term business performance targets are being met across platforms, modules, sub-modules and value chains to ensure the highest degree of standardized and modularized products.We are responsible for delivering business and capability offerings such as Standardization and Parts management, Reference Designation Systems (RDS), Materials and coatings management and External standards & Standards in Vestas that maximize the value Vestas creates for stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesAccountable for ensuring the quality of RDS code delivered to the business and end customersResponsible for RDS governance and continuous improvement to achieve operational efficiencyResponsible for maintaining and continuously improving RDS database and other relevant RDS tools to guide the organization on how we workResponsible for coordinating with internal stakeholders and external customers and suppliers to provide solutions related to RDS topicsResponsible for establishing the performance metrics together with key stakeholders to deliver value creationDevelop initiatives and develop engineering capabilities that include processes, people and systems aspects to improve how we engineerActively identify opportunities for RDS improvements together with stakeholders from across the value chainDevelop expert knowledge within the RDS domain and build guidelines to support Vestas within this fieldQualificationsB.E / B.Tech or M.E / M.Tech / M.Sc within Engineering, preferably within Electrical Engineering5-8 years of relevant engineering experience, preferably from the wind but potentially from other Engineering industries (E.g. Aerospace, Automotive and Energy Sector)Engineering background in how the product is designed with product structures, systems, functions, and component knowledgeExperience with product configuration and Engineering, Manufacturing and Service BOM structureExperienced in general Electrical and Electronics Engineering (e.g. medium and high voltage) including experience in reading Electrical diagramsExperience with Reference Designation System (RDS) and relevant standards ISO / IEC (all parts) and VGB guideline S (T)Experience in how we engineer and develop engineering capability development improvement initiativesExperience with Standardization methodology and principles is an added advantageCompetenciesGood stakeholder management and risk management skillsGood problem-solving and technical decision-making skillsGood Technical Leadership and strategy development skillsShould be agile, proactive, and systematicGood communication skillsKnowledge of automation techniques ( Excel)Knowledge of PLM systems and tools (e.g. PTC Windchill and PDMLink and SAP)What we offerWe offer an exciting job with excellent opportunities for professional and personal development in an inspiring, diverse, good, and international work environment in the renewable energy sector.
