We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Member of Technical Staff to join our Software Engineering team, focusing on backend development.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Ruby on Rails and JavaScript technologies, along with a strong understanding of microservices architecture and modern development practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Ruby on Rails.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services with user-facing elements.
- Develop scalable and efficient APIs to support various client applications.
- Implement and maintain SQL databases, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to deploy and manage microservices on Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend development.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby, and Ruby on Rails framework.
- Solid understanding of JavaScript, including ReactJS and TypeScript.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript libraries/frameworks.
- Good grasp of API design principles, HTTP, REST, and JSON.
- Hands-on experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and Kubernetes-based applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with other backend languages such as Python or Node.js.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.
