Procurement and Supply Chain Manager

 

Digantara is building the world’s first maps for space, a revolutionary end-to-end infrastructure for sustainable space operations, offering a comprehensive space situational awareness solution that simplifies and strengthens satellite operations amid the rapidly expanding commercialization of space.


As part of our expansion, we are seeking a skilled Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to join our team and help us build a strong and resilient supply chain for Digantara’s state-of-the-art ground and space-based sensor network.


Job Summary:

The Procurement and Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing the company's end-to-end procurement activities and optimizing the supply chain processes. This role involves strategic planning, managing supplier relationships, and freight management, ensuring timely delivery of goods. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments, including hardware, operations, and the finance team, to ensure the resiliency, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness of procurement and supply chain operations.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement efficient procurement strategies, codify policies and procedures
  • Conduct market research to identify potential local and international suppliers/service providers and carry out due diligence to understand and evaluate their company, products, services, and prices
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with local and international suppliers/service providers to ensure the best possible terms for price, quality, and delivery
  • Manage supplier/service provider relationships, conducting regular reviews to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and performance standards
  • Serve as an inter-departmental liaison to identify needs, forecast demand, and ensure the supply chain aligns with the business goal while ensuring effectively functioning processes to avoid costly delays and lost opportunities
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies, including contingency plans, lead-time reductions, and supply chain efficiencies
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international procurement and supply chain regulations


Required Qualifications

  • Any Bachelor's degree(major in supply chain or logistics would be preferred)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a procurement/supply chain management role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional(CSCP) certification
  • 5 years of experience in managing a complex global supply chain


General Requirements

  • Ability to think critically and make independent decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational skills
  • Travel occasionally as necessary
