Job Description
Our client   is Germany's top price comparison platform. Currently, it has 40 million views per month and is in the TOP 10 websites in the Shopping category in Germany. Headquartered in Munich and has offices in all major German cities. The company was founded 20 years ago and currently employs 2k+ people. They keep the atmosphere of a small cozy company having the resources of a big company. It means that decisions are made fast and most of them happen within a team.
The product: It's an online platfort that offers users the ability to compare and apply for credit cards from various banks and financial institutions. It enables customers to explore different card features, such as rewards programs, interest rates, and fees, to find the most suitable option for their needs. With a user-friendly interface, the platform aims to simplify the credit card selection process, empowering consumers to make informed decisions about their financial management.
Location:  Munich, Germany
Type of contract:  Permanent, on-site
You Will
  • Design, implement and continue developing innovative services for client's credit card comparison platform
  • Full ownership of the systems you will develop
  • Work with product owners in an agile work environment
  • Participation in the design of their REST-based architecture
  • Resolve challenges in existing systems by moving away from a monolithic to a distributed event-based architecture
  • Integration with various third-party service providers (banks, identification, and communication providers)

Requirements
  • Knowledge of Java, OOP principles and design patterns
  • First experience in building Java Microservice applications preferably with Spring-Boot as well as deploying processes with GIT, Maven, Jenkins and Docker
  • You like to challenge proposed solutions and love to learn from code reviews
  • You are enthusiastic about new things, have a hands-on mentality and don’t think that your job stops in the moment you commit your code
  • You have good spoken and written knowledge of English
