Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will be responsible for leveraging data analytics, drive automation, identify application of AI in business decision making & insights generation decision making, identify gaps in process performance through trend analysis and approach key business problems as a logical thinker/problem solver.

Role & responsibilities

1. Business Intelligence, Data Analytics

2. Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify business trends and improvement areas. Integrate structured and unstructured data sources for comprehensive business analysis. Advocate for data-driven decision-making across business units.

3. Perform root cause analysis, statistical modeling wherever applicable, and AI-powered insights generation. Apply AI to support real-time business decision-making. Design data-driven business strategies based on data analytics.
4. Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement real-time tracking mechanisms.
5. Use data visualization and storytelling techniques to communicate insights effectively.
6. Apply process mining techniques to uncover inefficiencies and automation opportunities
7. Stay updated on industry best practices in digital transformation, analytics, and automation

2. Critical Thinking & Strategic Problem-Solving:

• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to assess business challenges and develop actionable solutions. Utilize root cause analysis to drive data-informed decision-making.
• Evaluate multiple perspectives and synthesize insights to develop well-rounded recommendations.
• Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
• Apply decision analysis frameworks to improve business outcomes and mitigate risks.

3. Automation Solution Design & Implementation:

• Identify, evaluate, and implement automation solutions, (including RPA-based tools wherever applicable). Support API-driven automation for seamless business operations.
• Develop proof-of-concept (PoC) solutions for automation and analytics initiatives. Partner with development teams to implement the automations.
• Align automation solutions with Agile methodologies to ensure incremental deployment and continuous feedback loops. Support Agile teams by ensuring business requirements are continuously refined and updated in sprints.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure seamless deployment of automation tools.
• Design and deploy AI-driven automation solution (including but not limited to - chatbots, NLP-based data processing etc.)

4.Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with business leaders to define and document precise business needs. Conduct comprehensive requirement-gathering sessions
• Serve as a liaison between business teams, IT, and external vendors to ensure project alignment.
• Conduct stakeholder meetings and present analytical findings with actionable insights.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail with a results-oriented mindset
• Professional experience and good command over Python
• Good command over Excel. Should be able to use excel for data validation for analytics and reporting
• Familiarity with AI-driven automation. Ability to implement AI-powered solutions for operational efficiency
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
• Should be presentable, with good interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels.
• Qualifications in Data Science (related courses) OR Statistics OR Mathematics and should have decent academic record (Preferably a Post Graduate or equivalent)
• Professional experience of minimum 3 years

Good to have skills for the candidate:

• Familiarity/Basic working knowledge with Robotic Process Automation
• Working knowledge of Tableau/Power BI

Working knowledge of Agile concepts in Project Management
