Job DescriptionWe are looking for a System Engineer for our client in Linköping.

As a Systems Engineer, you will research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions that enables the development of cutting-edge technology.

Systems Engineers collaborate across functional teams to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

OR

• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

OR

• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.

• 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of Automotive systems and associated standards (ISO26262, ISO21434).

• 2+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.

• 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Sr. Staff level and above).

Primary responsibility:

• Help to comply with ISO21434 - Road Vehicles - Cybersecurity engineering. The assignment will be within Perception Core, and the work to reach compliance will be carried out in a team together with representatives from Perception Application (so that both platform and customer perpectives are considered).

Other responsibilities of relevance for the system engineering role:

• Requirement handling and breakdown of stakeholder requirements

• Perform safety analyses and identify impacts on the system

• Apply Systems knowledge and experience to research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions while ensuring system-level requirements and standards are met.

• Perform functional analyses to drive requirements and specifications and to define and align with standards for hardware and software.

• Develop and analyze system level design including requirements, interface definition, functional/performance definition, and implementation of a new system or modification of an existing system.

• Collaborate with own team and other teams to complete project work, including implementing and testing features and verifying the accuracy of systems.

• Develop new and innovative ideas (e.g. IDFs) for a product or feature area.

• Drive triage of problems at the system level to determine root cause and presents results of testing and debugging to team members.
